Defence Forces deploy Air Corps helis to help fight gorse fires in Co. Donegal

The Defence Forces deployed three Air Corps Helicopters, two AW139 with underslung 'Bambi Buckets' holding 1,200lts payloads and one EC135, to drop over 300,000 lts of water on the fires to help prevent fires reaching homes in remote mountainous areas. Over 250 troops and 30 vehicles have also been deployed to Donegal since Sunday in support of fire fighting efforts there

Who disliked this?! Well done folks, I won't hear anyone saying that the Defense Forces aren't needed! Excellent work on several environmental crises this year! The floods, the snow and now the fires! Sure ye could handle tornadoes if we had them!
