At lonnnnng last I finally get to hear exactly what Vicki Lawrence said in that skit. I watched it when it first aired: been waiting decades to find out.... probably the funniest single comedy bit I've ever seen on TV.

The Carol Burnett show was pure gold. They don't do stuff like that any more and we're the poorer for it.
and I think the closest translation to what Mr Conway says is "Phnerkee". Spelled phonetically that would be "Fner-kee"
