It's great to listen to this one again. Sorry the ragtime world has lost this composer of rags, due to his recent passing. 5*

What an infectious folk rag! I love it! Tom plays it beautifully and with great bounce!

Incredible rag like just about all of Gil Lieby's rags. My favorite of Gil's is Trophy Rag. Tom is awesome on these even though he might want to slow down just a bit. Tom's left hand is solid and he never misses a beat.

Gosh, I am always so amazed with Tom's ability to read ragtime!! Awesome. This is very Brun Campbell like in the beginning.

For once, I'm torn... I can't decide whether I like Tom's version or Kathi Backus' version better! Great rag, great post; thanks!

Yeah, Kathi has a good folk style in her playing. I think her more relaxed tempo suits a folk rag better. Can't fault Tom's playing ability here though, that's for sure. (Those curious can watch the middle part of my "Sutter Creek Ragtime Festival 2006" clips video to hear a bit of Kathi Backus playing this rag.)
