I just received one today from my dad as a present and it's superb! A bit hard to fly, I must say, but this is because I have been flying a coax Lama V4 for the last few months, that being my first heli. The Neon Blaze was recommended by the shop we buy from to be the next step up from a coax helicopter. ANYWAY back to your actual question, its 3D! So maybe buy it as a beginner, although I'd recommend a coax helicopter as a first (more stable + easier to fly). Happy flying and merry christmas :)

Let me know what you find and we'll go from there. Ian

Hi John. Oooh, sorry to hear you had a crash with the model. From what you haev said I'd be inclined to suggest a duff servo perhaps caused by the crash, either that or one with a tooth missing from it's gear train. The above could make one of the servo's jump about & inturn add pitch when not needed, more than likely on one side point of the swashplate which will give an odd input. If you can secure it down &/or spool the model up without the main blades you may see which one's playing up.
hey there, i was just thinking about buying one of these helis as a beginner heli but i was just wondering if it was a 3D heli i.e( can it be flown upside down) as i would like to try and learn to do that if this is a 3D heli. thanks. :)

Hey Matey. I'd never attempted to get mine into a sustained inverted hover, I did try to loop it once which resulted in a passable loop. The newer Neon V2 2.4Ghz is a little more upgraded & powerful from memory so might be better for that type of flying. However in all honesty if you're wanting to learn 3D I'd suggest a 450 size model, CenturyUK have a couple of good ones in their range now as do other makers to. This size will be much more useable to learn things with....

but will still be cheap to repair if it all goes wrong. If you have any other questions please just ask. Ian

replace the servos with jp 7.5. alloy upgrade main rotor is gash as rotor arm link breaks off were its connected to yhe shaft. untill they sort it i will be rolling with upgraded alloy swashplate and standard rotorhead but had to get longer rods for my linkages as they were to small. i like this heli coz the only probs seem to be cheap servos and on take off it pitches. which i can handle. avoid the alloy rotorhead untill they revise it. slalomflex check the flybar tracking n tail motor

Hey. Most alloy rotor heads for the smaller models are not really worht having due to not surviving too well in any crashes. They look great but bend easily. I have now sold this Blaze, but I did get it dialled in nicely before I did so by limiting the throws on the transmitter and it felt much nicer and less twitchy. Ian

Hey Matey. I would say yes in all honesty, the newer 2.4ghz version has made some worthwhile changes which help make the model better over the V1 I have. The tail motor is bigger to ensure better life span and the head has changed ot make it a little less twitchy I think. It is of course not as good as a proper tail rotored model, which can be limiting later down the line but work ok. If you have any more questions just ask. Ian
