Sorry my spanish.

  • EThis experiment is very difficult for replication.I too have some difficult for reproduction. The first thing, you must choose a test tube with thin wall, then blow air with the mouth in the open side of tube and chhose one with best sresonance. Then use new steel wool without grease.A good flame from alcohol burner and some patient.Good luck

  • Hello, profesorjunao!Nice to meet you! I am a student and very interested in your work. Is your stack material also steel wire wool? Is there any strategy in doing this? I am recently trying to do something like this and getting to konw more about thermoacoustics. Could you do me a favor and give me some advice or more information about your experiment? Look forward to receiving reply from you in English. Best regards!

  • Use too clean ceramic from a car catalyzer and probe in diferent places.

Now I am thinking how to do for visualize bivrations,i am tinking in a piezoelectric transducer with two leds atached.

    Good luck

  • Hola frofesor. Muy interesante su video.

He reproducido todo y...

  • Specifically, this is a Sondhauss tube with steel wool (instead of a bundle of glass tubes) serving as a heat exchanger

  • This is probably a Rijke tube -- a heat-powered sound generator. (Lord Rayleigh explained how it works.) The test tube acting as a quarter-wave resonator; hence it produces a tone of 500-600 Hz.

  • very funny

  • I can not make this! Why? What don't I do well?

    Saludos.
