Well perhaps much to your surprise we weren't thinking of parents business but childrens rights not to be hit!

Parents have plenty of alternatives than smacking and smacking is shown to harm children.

We will not get out of your business because we believe what we are doing is morally right and we can end physical punishment in NZ.

You cant hit your wife or your friend but somehow its acceptable to hit our must vulnerable citizens.

There is no evidenice that smacking kids hurts them. There is plenty that it helps them in the long run.

Im a bit concerned for your children because the manner in which you have left these comments is verbal abuse. calling my group of hard working young people idiots is totally unacceptable whether you agree with out views or not.

I sure hope you dont use that manner when disciplining your children and if you do I think you should consider using love and care- it works for plenty of parents

man keep up the good work. I use to be apart of S.A.V.E at my school. but now Im a alumni. I just trying to get my own organization started my self with some of the same concepts of S.A.V.E.. And @ frednoname1 No one is telling u that wiping your kids is wrong but its a difference between punishments and beating on a kid. and u dont even know how save was started. learn the history of save before u judge.

A meta-analysis of 88 studies by Gershoff(2002) showed that corporal punishment (CP) (spanking/smacking) children is hurtful to children. 20 of the studies found that spanking led to an increased probability of mental health problems. Thirteen studies investigated delinquent behavior. CP was associated with a higher probability of delinquent and anti-social behavior. Four studies showed a relation between experiencing CP as a child and later adult criminal behavior.

No matter what your opinions on smacking children are it is not justified to verbally abuse other people, you are talking about parents rights to hit there children, we have have the right of free speech and opinions.

The law has been passed, smacking your kid is not YOUR business, it is now the business of anyone who has the decency to report you.
