The choir of Hendon St Mary's sing Ralph Vaughan Williams' classic Linden Lea.
This piece was sung during a concert that concluded a weekend-long celebration of Vaughan Williams' life and works. The weekend was held in 2008 to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the composer's death.

A beautifully sensitive performance of this great song by Vaughan Williams. Please sing more of Britain's/world's greatest composer.

This is a wonderful choral version of Linden Lea! I like the arrangement, and it's amazing how good it is without any accompaniment. Thank you very much for posting this, for there's something about the clarity and melody of Vaughan Williams' music that I simply love.

Beautifully sung.

This is beautiful. Music now a days is so stupid, they can just press the autimatic tuning button. Where's the musicianship and appretiation for classic music?

@bardolph14
Hendon was originally a village in the county (shire) of Middlesex. Since 1886 it has been part of the administrative county of Greater London. Although the area became a London suburb in the 1920s, the area around the medieval parish church (Church End) does retain the atmosphere of a country village to some extent.

**In what shire is Hendon St. Mary's? I wish I lived there!**

St Mary's is the name of the church and it's in Hendon, which is not in a shire excatly....Hendon is a suburb of North London, about as far from your average rural English shire as you can get!
