Every age and generation are each defined/
By the world events that changed their life/
By the wars that they had to fight/
Or the latest trend that might arise/
You can tell by looking at the clothes they wear/
It will be inevitable by the words you hear/
They talk about everything that's changed/
Talkin about how their parents are deranged/
But here is a pro-po-sition/
God told us to refuse tradition/
Don't settle for the status quo/
Instead rely on what you know/
A promise that we will not be defined/
By our years, our days, or our time/
Living in the promise, we find the way/
Not to just live, but define our day/

God's called us to transcend the day/
But we can't transcend until we comprehend/
The day we live in and the promise that's within/
And the plan that God has to redeem our pasts/
We have to have the faith and believe/
That despite what IS, we still know and can see/
That the place where we are is not the place we will be/
The state we're in is not the state in which we'll be/
Our God is not a man that He should lie/
So tell me why sit we here till we die/
Cuz He promised us a des-ti-ny/
That our imagination would not believe/
No numbers will define our his-to-ry/
Our time will be defined by vic-to-ry/
Cuz the life that God has called us to lead/
Doesn't give us a choice but to be free!/

Now let me make a prophetic declaration/
All curses are broken from past generations/
Sickness and death are now reversed/
Because our God came to reverse the curse/
No lies that come from the enemy/
Will have dominance over what we see/
We are more than conquerors in every way/
And we will never lose sight come what may/
We can see the promise that's before us/
Now we can BREAKTHROUGH in the name of JESUS!/
