  • When did Anwars Robinson come out as gay? Cleo Manago doesn't identify as gay at all. Why on earth would anyone include JL King in this montage when he has made a living pathologizing black gay men to compensate for his own shortcomings?

  • I definitely agree that JL King does NOT belong on the list. I wouldn't include Cleo Manago. While Ian Patrick Polk should be on list the cast of Noah's Arc doesn't. Wilson deserves it for his role as a gay minority teen on My So Called Life. I would have liked to have seen some pivoting historical figures as Bayard Rustin, Langston Hughes, Billy Strayhorn, Max Robinson, James Baldwin, Essex Hemphill, and E Lynn Harris. Peter Gomes is deceased. And, can Tim'm West get a shout out?

  • And let's not forget those who have passed on:

    Paul Winfield (actor)

    Glenn Burke (baseball player)

    Sylvester (artist)

    Howard Rawlins (actor)

  • David Malebranche - Doctor

  • Black, Gay and VERY beautiful!!! I <3 black men!

  • @ImamDaayiee Excellent point. Could you post here some of the other faith's leaders who are gay? Thanks.

  • don lemon from cnn is gay too..found out..

  • Beautiful depiction!

  • @BLKPlusCapricorn I was going to type the same thing about JL King he does not deserve to be up there. He has exploited the gay culture & I truly feel he has helped to push the movement backwards than forwards.
