'08 Koi Harvest Day 3 2/3

Once the koi have been harvested, they are placed in show vats for inspection, measuring and viewing. Many of the koi were purchased prior to the harvest. The remaining koi are either sold or moved to concrete ponds for "polishing".

You can't go wrong with Nishikigoi of Niigata. I bought a Hoshikin Shusui from him 4 years ago from the Charlotte Koi show and is now over 2.5 foot with vibrant colors!

when they harvest do people squeeze the eggs out or let it happen naturally?

if anyones know when you before the harvest dose that mean you pick it out and when they harvest them you get the exact one or what?
