Georgia warns Obama of 'peril' of ignoring eligibility hearing
The state of Georgia is warning Barack Obama of the "peril" of simply ignoring today's hearing on his eligibility to be on the 2012 presidential election ballot in the state. The hearing before an administration law judge was streamed live today, but Obama's attorney, Michael Jablonski, yesterday told the state he and his client would not participate.
The attorney told Secretary of State Brian Kemp that the issue already had been resolved and it wasn't any of the state's business anyway. Kemp disagreed, explaining in a response that was posted online after hours last night that the case simply was "in keeping with Georgia law."
"As you are aware, OSAH Rule 616-1-2-.17 cited in your letter only applies to parties to a hearing. As the referring agency, the Secretary of State's Office is not a party to the candidate challenge hearings scheduled for tomorrow. To the extent a request to withdraw the case referral is procedurally available, I do not believe such a request would be judicious given the hearing is set for [this] morning."
He continued, "I expect the administrative law judge to report his findings to me after his full consideration of the evidence and law. Upon receipt of the report, I will fully and fairly review the entire record and initial decision of the administrative law judge." He also had a warning about the costs of simply not showing up for a court hearing.
"Anything you and your client place in the record in response to the challenge will be beneficial to my review of the initial decision; however, if you and your client choose to suspend your participation in the OSAH proceedings, please understand that you do so at your own peril."

AZ Gov. Jan Brewer Talks About Heated Argument With Obama
Upon deplaning Air Force One for his fifth official visit to Arizona, President Barack Obama was greeted by Governor Jan Brewer.
According to KFYI, Brewer handed the president a handwritten letter, they spoke and at one point she pointed her finger at him. It seemed they were talking over each other, then Obama appeared to walk away from the governor while she was still talking.
"He was a little disturbed about my book, Scorpions for Breakfast," Brewer told one reporter. "I said to him that I have all the respect in the world for the office of the president."
"The book is what the book is. I asked him if he read the book. He said he read the excerpt."
Asked what it was about the book that disturbed him, Brewer said, "That he didn't feel that I had treated him cordially." She added, "I said I was sorry he felt that way but I didn't get my sentence finished. Anyway, we're glad he's here. I'll regroup."

Video: L.A. Cops Shoot a Guy Point-Blank Outside a Carl's Jr.
Police officers in Monterey Park, Calif., shot and killed a man in the parking lot of a Carl's Jr. yesterday morning, and witnesses caught it on video. According to the New York Daily News, the man, who was wearing a dark hoodie, was breaking windows inside the restaurant. The video shows him coming out into the parking lot carrying what looks like a shovel or large hammer. The cops appear to taser him, which has no effect. When he seems to rear up to swing the object in his hand—but before swinging it—the two officers fire off ten shots.
Five were fired while he was standing, and five after he appeared to fall to the ground (the actual shooting is obscured in the video by a parked car). According to the Daily News, five of the bullets struck the victim, who was pronounced dead later at a local hospital.

An administrative law judge can't even turn over a parking ticket WTF?!? For proper consideration this would need to go to a Federal Judge, this is merely a publicity ploy, don't get your hopes up.

@nedtorin I was reading about it. This ruling will go to the Secretary of State and he will decide whether Obama is on the ballot. If he says he can't be, Obama would have to appeal. Then it would go to federal court. So, to me, it is worth it.

Who really cares what the wicked witch Pelosi says!!! Gee, maybe she slept with Newt, big whoop. Like the old saying goes in politics: As long as he did not kill a hooker or sleep with a boy, he is okay...

P.S. If you want an ethical public servant, then vote for Ron Paul or maybe Rick Santorum! If you want a strong leader, then vote for Newt Gingrich. Mitt Romney on the other hand is another Obama and we all know how that has turned out...

@Carrie3570 When Newt was in Office he took a visit to merry old England. While there he was greeted by Prime Minister Thatcher and they had a torrid affair, which got taped. In the video she is clearly stunned and says to Newt what a wanker. Since the CIA and MI6 are working together on terrorism now, the CIA was able to get a copy. When Nancy Pelosi became speaker of the House she was able to get her hands on it, but since she likes strap-ons she did not know what to do with IT :)-

@Carrie3570 I t may go some where but the Secretary of State it will not, an appointed official will not make any decision on this, at best it will end up in the Seventh Circuit Court (I think) and if it passed there to the Supreme Court but it will never go anywhere. While many think the issue has teeth it does not and the end result is that fortunately or not he will be on the ballot in each state with no trouble at all.
