i always forget that nothing is culturally significant or innovative anymore and that socioeconomic paradigms like Bristol in the 90s or the timbral revolution of New York in the 70s and 80s has ever matched the contrapuntal (albeit limited sonic pallet) of Bach in the 18th Century. And the fact that someone is reinterpreting this through jazz hardly even deserves a mention in the ongoing evolution of music.
