Senate Majority Leader Charlie Shields, R-St. Joseph, talks about his bill that would provide tax credits to Bombardier, a French Canadian aircraft company seeking to build a manufacturing plant in Kansas City.
Don't people understand that the Tax Credits only apply if and when people are hired (on average at $55,000/year)? If the company doesn't hire anyone and doesn't make any revenue at the plant, then they wouldn't be paying taxes anyway.
States don't bring in big jobs like this without giving some incentives. This would bring jobs to Missourians, and wouldn't cost the State unless the company invests here in Missouri.
