I'm Mexican American, and I believe that the role of government should be limited strictly to its roles delineated in the U.S. Constitution. In fact, one of the main reasons that Mexico is so poor and dysfunctional is because the Mexican gov't interferes with the lives of its citizens. It is quite clear that the best safeguard for individual liberty and independence is less governmental involvement in society.
