Just my opinion. I'm not saying Bobby Orr sucked or anything. Not at all. It's just a different game now these days. And way faster

The thing with orr he was a great player but I mean back then it was a way different game. Like if ovechkin or a great super star played like they do now but back then they would rape. There's no doubt. It's a way different game than it was in the 60's 70's and 80's it's tougher to score and shit. The things lidstrom accomplished in his time as a d man is just amazing. Hands down I'm sorry Bobby Orr a great player. Lidstrom is the best d man to ever play the game.

Lidstrom was there for it all, the brawl with the Avs and cup in '97, the cup in '98, when it was placed in Konstantinov's lap, the cup in 2001 and 2008, and he's still here, whoopin ass in Detroit.

Lidstrom is Lidstrom I can't find a word to describe his perfection, there is no questioning his greatness, what your saying is like saying that Steve Yzerman would be an average player if he was on a different team which is impossible to say, Steve Yzerman was the team, and so is Lidstrom.

Don't even kid yourself...Lidstrom is the best dman since Bobby Orr.Pronger and Niedermayer were great...but Lidstrom is on another level.Lidstrom would have been great on any team he played for.

Felt the need to add this. Promising prospects who are already on their way to the top would serve themselves well if they stopped and took some time to study Nicklas way of carrying all that comes with being a superstar and yet remain as humble as humanly possible. If there was ever a player out there to model yourself after, this is him!
