Here is a strange situation.. A guy records a rather teen idol type of song in the late 50's, and it doesn't see the light of day until the late 70's to promote a show of his with another singer at the Ice Palace 57... At least, that's what I am presuming happened here. This record sounds like it came off a noisy old acetate, and the Judy Sexton 45 that accompanied this has great sound quality. My guess is this is an old unreleased recording from the late 50s. I don't know if this, or the Judy Sexton 45 were issued commercially, or if they were put out to promote his shows with Judy. What I also don't understand is where he found his fit at the Ice Palace 57, which is famous for being one of NYC's first openly gay disco clubs in the late 70's. This seems worlds apart from that crowd, but I wasn't there so who knows.
I liked it. And for him performing in a gay club, hey a show's a show and if the club could book them cheap, there's an incentive.. maybe he had a following.

I agree. My comment wasn't a dig against the Ice Palace 57 (you know me better than that). I think it adds a mystique to the record, as this isn't something you'd associate with a late 70's disco.
You might not remember since I gave you a few boatloads of records in my last couple of trips, but I gave you my other copy of this. I actually didn't like this record until I played it at your house, lol. I wish I had another copy of the picture sleeve and the Judy Sexton record to give you.
