This is a video about FPV524 wireless system from Hobbywireless.com.
The original video has a much better quality.
We had to lower the video quality in order to upload the video to youtube.
This aerial system is able to send aaudio and video wirelessly for more than 3 miles with a 8dBi antenna for the receiver.
I the complete onboard setup weight is around 69 grams less than 2.5oz !!!
The camera is a Sony CCD high resolution color, with a back light compensation feature.
For more information go to hobbywireless.com

I'm sorry but youtoooobe removed the original sound which included the explanation because of 1:23 minutes of the song "magic carpet ride". The music inserted now was provided by youtoooobe from a list of unknown bands and people, as "pre-Authorized songs". I think youtoooobe is charging them $$$ to promote their songs. Since Goooooogle bought youtooooobe everything is about $$$$$ now, quite sad.

  • Just go to HobbyWireless...com and look for the FPV524 or FPV905 if you have a 2.4GHz radio.

  • Some information for those who want to use a Futaba 2,4 Ghz Control and a 2,4 Ghz Videodownlink:

    There are only two options:

Use channel 4 of the FPV system and turn the frequency from GENERAL to FRANCE, works almost great, but a little less distance.

Best option is using the frequency of the futaba in FRANCE and channel 8 (CH8) of the FPV system, works without ANY interference because the frequency doesn't overlay each other.

  • do these rec. and or give live feed?

  • @riosouza I read on the osd dealer website that some stupid ham radio license is requried to operate the camera's 900Mhz receiver and signal. is this really a big deal??? do you really nedd one?

  • Quick question: Me and my buddy are working on a drone type plane which will have up to around a 2 mile (flyable range). Have you ever tried landing the plane while looking through the FPV, our plane will be large and stable and landing will take some practice but I think we should be able to do it. Does the 2.4g video/audio gear interfere with the 2.4g airplane gear? Thanks.

  • You can use any camera that will plug in right?

  • Thanks for the vid. The only quastion for me now is ho do you record the flight.
