Liked and faved. Classic material. I loved the NSE days!

They so need to bring back NSE with all the locos and multiple units they used to operate. British Railways need it!!

@MrJezza31 hey its the one with the corridor connection and mk3 coach design, with the curved round winderscreens they don't carry the fleet numbers at the unit ends for some reason, built at derby/york works back in the late 80s. they all used to have covers over the jumper cables which made these the tidyist looking EMU's with a corridor connection i would of said but due to lazyness these were taken or broken off not long after they entered service.

@Trainbuff2008 wich 1 is the 442

The old thumpers and the Class 50s sound great...The 47s don't sound too bad either.
The drivers used to call the 442s PIGS. Apparently because they made a snorting sound at times. They even had a badge made up specially. NSE asked them not to make the name public as they thought it was not an appropiate nick name.

Yes. Thank you. Nice to see someone who agrees with me for a change.
Its the best livery they have ever had and will ever have. Glad they are going to be put back into ervice, even if it is on the overpriced Gatwick-Express

I recall being in Clapham Junction A signalbox hearing 442's referred to as condoms. I asked why, the reply was that they get used once then get thrown away. I think he meant that they were not reliable.

I don't recall the 442's being in any other livery than NSE. How times change...
