  • Microtone class 101 :: very interesting. To your answer why? when findinf a name to a band, rarely are the ones that chose something that exactly describe their type of music. it is just a name. The important thing is: they sound awesome!

  • i guess what i was trying to say is that scratching is used as a percussive intrument or only really serves as one. the samples they use have to do with melody. however, their samples are of tonal music as well as the background synth. micro-tonal is extremely complex dealing with up to 88 microtones in a octave. i was just wondering why they are called microtone kitchen if their music (samples) are based on the standard 12 tone octave.

  • Hum whats up with ur consideration of scratching as non-microtonal music? please explain... it would definately give ur comment a constructive twist...

  • I didn't know microtonal music had anything do do with scratching and sampling regular tonal music... a new name would probably clear this up for people who actually listen to microtonal music. maybe sampletone grill or something. youll figure it out.
