.458 SOCOM for Law Enforcement and Military

The .458 SOCOM cartridge was developed as the result of an unofficial request from senior special operations personnel following issues with .223 ammunition. The desire was to be able to project far greater firepower from the short barreled platforms, particularly with suppressed subsonic loads. Using standard, unmodified .223 magazines, the .458 SOCOM conversion is able to launch bullet weights ranging from 86 grains to 600 grains, suppressed if desired, in full auto if desired.
