hey their allowed to put their own spin on whatever they want to play, sometimes the idea is to give a classic some new touches, and yes Guilmore and Slash are 2 different guitar players, I wouldnt expect the same song Pink Floyd did out of these guys, it still rocks

Every guy has its own style, this is a great song played for one of the great contemporary guitar man. There is no comparison between Guilmore and Slash because they belong to differents times.

love the atmosphere slash can build with his guitar..
love how scott weilland deliver this song..what a band..!!!!

Naw. There are two reasons to do a cover version: 1. To show love for or do a homage to, an existing version (That's why the Beatles are the most covered band in history), OR 2. Because you think you can do it better (that's why Bob Dylan is the second most covered rock era musician(-everyone thinks they can better his vocals, at least, but few can!)

Nobody can butcher a Pink Floyd song like Velvet Revolver! Kudos on the Massacre boyz!

What is this crap?

Slash likes Gilmour... ... 407 people don't
Slash can't play the way Guilmore plays, and Guilmore can't play what Slash does. They are different. Imagine the case that Guilmore wants to play November Rain solos, it's impossible.
Don't be that stone headed! It's classicism, be more realistic!

"Slash will never touch Gilmour." I always thought the point of a cover was to show respect or love to the original, and not to show em up or top it.
