Engraver Control Movie

This is the control system for my mechanical engineering senior design project, a stand-alone CNC engraving machine. It uses a cubloc cb405 PLC (microcontroller), two stepper motors with drivers, a 4x4 keypad, 4x20 LCD module and a modified PC power supply. Letters are entered in standard cell phone text message method (no predictive text.)

Once I have the machine built, I'll add a menu function with operations like cleaning, homing and PC Control. The PC control function will override the PLC and allow the steppers to be controlled with a pc, allowing more complex engravings than the stand-alone version.
