@pignut She is "unfairly treated" cuz she doesn't belong there in the first place. We need to focus on *qualified* people. I'm an independent asking is "could do no worse than past several presidents" the way we choose our leaders now? The qualifications of other leaders are irrelevant to whether Palin is qualified. Since George W Bush, people seem to think *anyone* is qualified to be president, and they're wrong.

@dwayners13 Are you sure you want more? I am no expert but I have done some research and discovered some very troubling problems.Like most Americans we elect officials to do the job and then we basically forget about it, only this time I think people are waking up to the reality that the car was driven over the cliff and now its being set on fire. Problem is, as we go so will the world to one degree or another because our leadership has sold us out. GREED and/or the ability to say NO.

@ub30f Wow, this is the first discussion I have got into on youtube with a person who has different views then myself, yet makes logical, well thought out arguments without any name calling/profanity. I actually feel bad for my first response when I called Bush 'stupid'. Don't get me wrong, I still think he did a serious disservice to your country & to the 1000's of young men/women in your military. @dwayners13 In addition, we (USA) have to keep a strong military to force the world to take our dollars. We are the world police force (right or wrong) and will remain that until someone comes along and knocks us off or we self destruct. The latter seems the more plausible.

@dwayners13 Fair enough on your assessment of the marriage of cap/soc in Canada.I would argue that although that model has worked for Canada, most Americans want the do it yourself approach, come what may.Our attempt at mingling the two have failed and I think everyone can see that now.On the postion of Bush - it was Bush who stated that an establishment of freedom in Iraq would lead to a domino effect.So far he was right.I think time will tell he might of been ahead of his time here.

@ub30f As a Canadian, I disagree. We've been able to fuse capatialism with some socialist policies quite well. Despite the economic problems around the world, we're one of the few countries who have been able to avoid any serious problems. We've maintained our credit rating, our banks are stable, our dollar remains high & college/university tution is lower than most. In terms of Bush's impact on the Arab world, I think you're reaching, but I can see where you are coming from. Good day eh.
