What's real sad is NS could have rehabilitated this structure and used it to store their diesel locomotives, I'm not in any way what-so-ever surprised they haven't thought about that.

and I found this place by being on the wrong road in Asheville recently, came back with the camera. Finding any existing original Roundhouses is incredibly rare thing. Its too bad the turntable no longer exists that would have serviced it, but it was still cool anyhow
