no you need the software you can have an account but not the $15 zune pass watch my video it might explain some

currently, zune is not compatible with apple products. not microsofts fault, apple has all this copyright crap.

I have a mac, but I want a zune, so my question is would I be able to make an account right on the zune and become a subscriber for $15 a month WITHOUT having to have the zune software on the pc?

Dude, I totally agree. Bigger screen, better UI, wifi, radio. It's nice. It's got all the stuff that you actually need from an iPod Touch without all the bells and whistles and with waaaaay more memory.
