Due to time limitations on YT and SM, the ALP HA BET had to be broken up into chunks. Here is the K-R string of capitals. Read my blog for a background on this particular letter exercise. I am demonstrating the change in pen angle during the formation of the letters. Italic caps are usually shorter than italic ascenders and are made at 5-7 degree less slant. That makes them more stout, more monumental, more VERSAL, more MAJUSCULE. Crosses are made at zero degrees. Keep the flourishes in. Remember: controlled freedom.
I am writing outside of my writing window and comfort zone and I have attached my angle0meter to let you see more dramatically when I change the pen angle.
This is on reason we learn to hold our pens correctly - from the very beginning as we try and succeed to practice perfectly. Tim www.timjohnsonphoto.com
