Gory Bateson sings his original tribute to his Uncle Gregory. He wrote the song when he was a lonely 13-year-old boy to thank his uncle for sending him postcards and musical instruments from around the world.

  • One of the things that I loved about Gregory was his ability to toss out a phrase or a quip that changed the way you thought about a subject.

I can imagine Gregory turning this into a conversation about the evolutionary advantages of having childless couples in a population because it's *not* the number of children that count towards the survival of a species, it's the number of grandchildren.

    In other words: Uncles count.
