Herne bay will never be able to afford to re build anything on the pier again Council wont help and not enough money will be raised, as soon as pier decking gets damaged either by vandals or storms will not be replaced such a shame as i have been skating on the pier most of my life and also worked there as well. Biggest mistake the people of Herne bay did was let the pier close and be torn down will never be same again....

A lovely film. Thank you for this. I wish we could have the Grand Pier Pavilion back. It was a beautiful, iconic building, and it worked.

I've lived in the bay since the early 60s so I've seen a lot of changes , but the biggest change i would love to see is our pier rebuild . It would bring so many people to Herne Bay & that cant be a bad thing!. Good luck to the trust :)
