I don't think so. Because he's falling so i believe the force of the wind is pushing up on the wings and causing him to glide. Its the same when people parachoot and have their arms out like that the wind doesnt pull their arms all the way to their back and break their bones/dislocate their sholders. atleast thats the way i see it.

very good question though, makes you think. I guess the best way to find out is to try it! :)

Too much like fun. I saw a show where one of the first guys did this and he flew over 4 miles from where he was dropped.
