In this episode, I am on a solo mission to catch Walleye, Yellow Perch and Crappie on a 3 acre pond in western New York. Plenty of action and a few surprises along the way. I show how to catch these relatively small versions of those three popular game fish in a simple pond/small lake setting.

  • It is a private pond that I manage for a client of mine. Sorry, he is pretty protective of his fish

  • I just used fathead minnows.

  • I am an aquatic biologist, and manage ponds and lakes for a living. I made the habitats myself. In fact, we added spawning substrate and actually got natural reproduction in this pond. If you are interested, email me at dadrian@me.com and I can email pictures of the habitats we build.

  • I had the camera on a tripod on most shots. Seemed like good way to illustrate a "bite"!

  • where r u fishin?? lookes like a great pond

  • @7:08 the minnow flies back through the hole and escapes haha.

  • Nice perch!!

  • that walleye was tiny

  • @crazygrower the auger is fine its the blades he needs to replace

  • @mrJBKfilms Do you not notice how small that pond is? To me it looks like it has great sized healthy walleye, i wish i would be able to own a private pond like that one day.

  • you need a new auger it should never take that long....

  • get about 5-10 10' perch per person they fillet quite small

  • small perch and walleye tend to fry up easy and taste good!

  • @WTHunter771 It wasn't meant as disrespectful, it is just what we catch in Lake Erie. For the north that is beautiful and much more tasty. I would much rather have a few 2 pounders over a 10 pounder any day.

  • @mrJBKfilms i hate when people comment like this......
