@tomgardiner ermmm not if someone wanted make an informed choice rather than be a badge snob. same prices 2nd hand. spent enough money on it to warrant buying an s3 on top. etc. etc. etc.

@faisalali2001 nothing to do with the badge anyone who knows anything about cars will know the s3 is a far superior choice, if you wish to go big turbo route like i have you need the 4wd, agreed standard haldex is shocking! but using my own custom haldex diverter i have made it into a 40/60 split front to rear, 461bhp and 553lbft. I have spend enough money to warrant buying a far superior car, however any mug with money could buy a rs6, rs4,even a early millennium 911 turbo

@tomgardiner I see this turning into a long drawn out debate...the main point i replied to you was that its not about "digging deeper" to buy an S3 as I had the same budget.

now thats cleared up, yes, on paper the S3 would be the superior choice, 0-60 it would kill the cupra but my car pulls ahead of my mates s3 in a rolling start (same power). s3 looks more outdated,feels more like a barge,uninvolving too. i agree for 400+bhp you need 4WD - wasted on FWD. got more to say but thats enough lol

@tomgardiner Audi's are incredibly dull, unless you are talking Spider or Quattro. And you are a total badge snob with your first comment and I've seen plenty of 4wd Audi's stuck in the snow. Anyway, real men go RWD, not AWD. The S3's (not including the 1st gens) just look like TDi's, and dull at that.
