Their progression over the years in incredible. Dustin has always written amazing lyrics but he's taking that to a new level. I think a lot of it has to do with the solo album he released. Since then they've begun blending so many music styles instead of playing in one set genre. Teppei's guitar work has become so ambient, the Brothers bass and drum lines and syncopated works of art and Kensrue's vocals are bluesy and haunting. They just never fail to impress and get better. Go Thrice.

I really, really wish I was reading 1984 when this album came out. I don't tend to get a lot of literary illusions though, so it was a pleasant surprise when the first thing that popped into my head while listening to this was, "Big Brother!".
