HEY, I lived there 1950's and 1960's . what are the Barrels? I remember the oval, suicide hill on the corner of Little neck pkwy and 260th st. Does anyone remember a large cement retaining wall called the ALAMO ? IT was in back of apartments off 252nd ave in what now is called Parkwood Estates , when i lived there it was Grand Central Apartments. There was also a urban legend of a old guy named ''Jellybones''.

OMG, This is Priceless!!!!!!! I grew up in Glen Oaks. I went to PS 115 and JHS 172. I took pics in the woolworth photo booth, shopped at Mays, at at Margilini's/sLorenzo's, Hamburger coach, went to the OLS fair, the barrels, oval, 186 pool, Alley Pond etc.
Excellent Video. Thanks so much for posting this!!! I have to look at this again with my brother to see if he knows anyone in there.

Glad it sparks some memories. Most of the people in the video graduated OLS in 72.
