In this Music Making Month video, Product Specialist Mattias Häggström Gerdt shows us how you can kickstart song ideas but chopping up basic loops for inspiration. Don't let the common attitude that using sampled loops in your music is not real creativity! Some of the biggest hits of the last 30 years started off as loop manipulations.

@intensityxc Reverse and Normalize were options introduced in Record 1.5 which is a free download when you upgrade to Reason 5. Sorry about that!

i got reason 4 - record 1.0 but it doesn´t work to reverse a part like u did.

Mattias, as you were explaining this awesome technique, I was like "eh, I usually do this with a Dr.OctoRex (including the audio reverse) or a bunch of them and a 6:2 mixer with Solo automation or through CV" ...until you hit the clip Time Stretching part :P
Then I just had to "ooooooh, now that's a cool use of that in there :D" ...and then I also remembered that this helps those without ReCycle, dealing with plain .wav/.aiff files :)
