@eamh2002 a 64kg I used to do 70x10 and 100x1. You say "by the way.." as in you trying to defend what you are saying by proving you are strong too. It's never good for your muscles to do max reps! It's only meant to figure out what your 70-75% will be from a max rep. Cause that's where you wanna be when doing 8-12 reps. That "shock" you are talking about should be done with different EXERCISES! and adding a few kilos to get 5 reps. Never go for 1 reps to shock your muscles.

if i ever try and "max out", it' gotta be something i can do at LEAST 4 good reps with.

@Killazer Looks more like it was his forearm that snapped.
-
@Zachbro39 thats like saying i wish people only played sports for fun because if you play competitively then you might get hurt
-
FUCCCCKKKKKK I jumped up from that shit! OUCHHHH LIKE A MOFO

And they should use the safest way of lifting, not the shortest lift travel with bone braking twisting forces :p
-
Four plates and you need a bench shirt?
-
Actually its easier than you think to break your arm benching. If you get it in a bind bones can't take twisting or bending loads just compreesion and tension. If we clamped your upper arm in a vise then push your forearm it would snap it very easy. Most broken bones happen when someone gets in a bind

@Bunnies4meNOTu if i was you, i would be embarrased to say that i weigh 108 lbs in public...dude, find yourself a mom or a grandma to feed you...really
I wish people would just lift to stay in shape. Lifting for power will sometimes lead to this. And dont surround yourself with people that egg you on to do more weight. It will only lead to you hurting yourself.

@Zachbro39
Lifting for power first, then maintaining the muscle mass with more reps, will make your body more fragile, because it's not used to 95% of 1rep maxes :p
If you start from scratch and natural, I bet there can be no damage if you stay on the power side, and not bodybuilding :) By the way, I'm at 64kg and my bench is 3x63kg. Slowly going up.
