Eradicator

Eradicator is a shooter game done by Accolade in 1996. It supports the first-person and third-person perspective and combines pure action and puzzle solving. The story is about the planet Ioxia, which provides the essential element Mazrium. But its long dormant alien forces have been woken up and must be destroyed.

This game has been released for MS-DOS. In this video, you can see the playable demo version.

This game was released just a little too late-- having to follow Duke Nukem 3D and Quake didn't do this one any favors. I remember my local EB having a boxed copy of this that sat on the bargain shelf for like a year and a half. Ouch.

A real underdog. I played the demo and liked it a lot. Now I have the full version and like the story and puzzle elements even better. Like MomoTheBellyDancer said, a mix of Duke Nukem 3D and Marathon, the latter one and it's sequels being some of my favorites. I agree though that Eradicator was badly timed. Oh well. At least the game is not forgotten. Almost 15 years later, people still know it.

holy shit! I had this game on a cd with all kinds of demo versions. it had quiver, eradicator, Z.A.R. and more.
