im a chimney sweep and we use a high powered truck vacuum and the necessary rods and brushes. and a honest chimney wan would be selling the customer a chimney cap for the top of the terracotta to prevent these birds and nest. -BOB HUGHES CHIMNEY and FIREPLACE (google it)

what a load of crap white units beside him no mess hoover is bluff. chimney if nest cover everything because hoovers do not take away nests always ask for a rods and a brush oh by the the way birds nests can kill gas fires

we use a hook attachment on our vac to rid the smoke shelf of the soot and ash or what ever else is laying on the shelf ! No dust , no mess !
