  • D&D ?? Thats why they invented skyrim

  • @carloseugnio D&D and video games are two completely different experiences that fulfill different cravings. Skyrim is an amazing visual world full of fantasy action and neat stories, programmed by a game developer. D&D (and tabletop roleplaying in general) speaks more to creating your own stories and characters, go beyond the bounds of programming with the sheer potential of human imagination.

  • I have a question:

I also draw all my D&D maps by hand, but I usually conform the shapes and features of the terrain to the squares on the map, because I don't know how to handle in gameplay terms a feature line crossing a square (like what happens when you draw a circular room). How do you determine if it's an acessible or inacessible square, for example? I don't remember a rule addressing that, what is your take?

  • @landovers Don't feel too constrained by the lines! A quick rule of thumb I use is: if the square is at least half empty, a character can enter it.

  • Where can I get those kinds of sheets? Where do you buy them?

  • @Ninjazombie42 I just bought the sheets of gridded paper at a local office supplies store.

  • Do you just print the paper or how do you get it

  • Kitty wenni .3.

  • Hey esper, do you think 3d dungeon tiles are a good idea? Because I happen to like the idea of giving the pcs the same view of a hall as the others, but also hate to force them to think a certain way instead of using their imagination. I usualy only use 3d terrain when I want to convey a certain atmosphere to an area that the pcs may not get if the map wasn't 3d. I was hoping to get your oppinion on it.

  • How do you get that paper?

  • That's an epic tier gargantuan cat, lol

  • @GoofyCowProdutions I agree- Esper- please do a tutorial of how to draw terrain- I can't draw!

  • What kind of paper are you using on top of the grid?
