  • You're right about that. I remember when she did Open My Heart for the first time on the NAACP Image Awards and she ripped it a new one, so to speak lol. I was like "man, I wish there was a way to get a good quality mp3 of this version. She did a live version on her "Live Experience" album that was somewhat like that but.. she wasn't in full voice so it was more of a mellow take on it. She didn't feel it like she did on the award show lol

  • @zingalom

i like both versions but i gotta admit this version did make me say WOW thats the jazzy Yolanda i like better. but anyone who knows her knows her live versions are almost always 5times better than studio versions.

  • I don't like the album version of this song. But she took us back to that early/mid 90s contemporary jazz Yolanda I fell in love with here. This version of this song should be for sell somewhere.

  • YA u r amazing...

  • Best version of this song in my opinion.

  • GOD TAKES CARE OF HIS OWN! I ABOVE WISH THAT YOU BE HAPPY , HEALTHY

AND PROSPEROUS AS YOUR SOUL PROSPERS!!!!!

  • @sweetbutdaring Yes, compared to the more soothing version on the album. The song itself is not upbeat, but Yo always throws in her little vocal embellishments when singing live, and so it makes this performance more jazzier.

  • I have always been a huge fan of this song, but this more uptempo and jazzy version takes me to another world, far away from human suffering/pain.
