Wayman Tisdale was one of the greatest college basketball players ever. He also played in the NBA, and won a gold medal in the Olympics. When his basketball career was over, he became a very successful musician. His songs are often played on the radio, and several of his albums reached the top 10 in the billboard charts. But he was more than just a basketball player and a great musician. For people who have battled illnesses as I have, Wayman Tisdale was a symbol. He was a living example that even through the darkest times, there is still happiness to be found and things to appreciate. I regret to never have had the opportunity to meet him in person, because I would have wanted him to know just how much I appreciate and admire his potency in courage, hope, and tranquility. Wayman Tisdale has touched more lives than he will ever know and everything that he represents will live in our hearts forever.

If you know of someone who is ill, please share with them this video of Wayman Tisdale so that his inspiration can live on. Thank you for reading.

Nothing can change me. You go through things. You dont change because things come in your life. You get better because things come in your life. In my mind, I have already beaten it (cancer). They got my leg, but they cant get my smile. Wayman Tisdale
