I'm so glad I saw this! It has restored my faith in Microsoft. Now I know that the next Laptop I buy will probably have to have to be a tablet to get the most out of this. That's alright, I'm really looking forward to this.
I never thought that MS would beat Apple to a multi-touch OS. I remember hearing Apple saying they have no plans for a multi-touch Mac, but this may change their plans now that their biggest competitor is doing it!
I heard the beta for Windows 7 is due out this December!

@star123compy glad you pointed out they DID started using a mass market implementation use of the multitouch GUI although they rip off that idea from TED presentation :)

@MorenoFire Yes. She is completely acting like Mrs steve jobs

if i am the owner of the "D" conference i will first fire the two idiots (the old man and the women) Shit they don't have any manners. iPhone suckers

The taskbar giveaway was hilarious , We now know

It's not her fault that Apple came up with a mass market implementation of a multitouch GUI first. She talks about the iPhone because that is what all future multitouch interfaces will be gauged against. Screw Monkey Boy. Gates is still cool.

lol! that woman is really kinda stupid, talking about iPhone next to Ballmer and Gates? hahaha

i actually thought that it was pretty funny :P
unlike others. i moderate the comments. any stupid comment will be erased.

Why would you want to touch your screen?

maybe now it looks to you as something not needed. but i can assure without a fear of being wrong that from 2010-2020. voice, touch and air gestures will be the path user experience will evolve with.
Also because with those changes. anyone will be able to use a computer. even if disabled or injured. this is possible today. but require special customizations that take a lot of time. imagine how these things will change accessibility from a global and general standpoint?
