  • i did this show back in december and i was mike! its a very good show if done right. this is iffy...how did u guys use such a huge cast for a very small show?

  • Well, it is an Ensemble show. Almost everybody in the cast had a part and if not they came on for the ensemble songs. There aren't any leads.

  • @candymancan4 Then you did it wrong.

  • @scottfwtx Why do you think we did it wrong?

  • Haha, they changed "The Hooker" to "The Teacher".

  • @scottfwtx It's called "creativity"

  • nice! I've been in this one, too (well, in college, not HS) I was Delores Dante. I'm super impressed w/ your set. Our's was similar to the scaffolding in shape, but was huge solid black plywood, and we had to walk up it. I had three parts, really but my main one was Delores. We played it with 10 people, I think.

  • You didn't do anything wrong, you just did it differently. What he means is that, traditionally, this show usually only has about 8-12 actors playing multiple roles. The construction worker at the beginning is usually the dad at the end who sings "Fathers and Sons." The woman who sings "Millwork" is also usually one of the phone operators and "Lovin Al" is also "Brother Trucker." Get it? I don't know if you've ever seen RENT, but it's the same thing with their cast.

    BTW: Great job!

  • Ooh wow. What a huge cast. :D

  • well thats what i meant...its ensemble but there are like what, 15 defined parts? and mike is sort of a lead...hes the only character that appears throughout the show.
