The problem is definitely caused by the hdmi cable. Whenever I start the console without the cable attached it seems to work. The moment I put the cable in I get the red ring shit. Why having the Hdmi plugged in would cause it to crash, I can not even guess. My only theory is that microsoft made this console to fuck up on people so they have to pay for it to be repaired every month or so. What a piece of shit. I'm going to play my N64. Thats right a system from 1997 works better than the xbox.

@InsaneInsomnia i bought a xbox 360 over the ps3 because of that whole psn network getting hacked crap. and they said now that they are not responsible if your network gets hacked O_o.

because when i fixed it the first time i had to have the power on unpluged the hdmi cable turned it off turned it back on then turned it off pluged it back in and when i turned it back on it worked.or u can over heat it on purpouse it workes to
