Esoterica Man

I finally was able to get this one uploaded. It was a staple of our live shows and featured Lou as Esoterica Man, a very memorable role. Dan, Scott and I wrote the surrounding sketch, but I think Lou wrote his own monologue, if I'm not mistaken.

From the big Monkeytime live show at the Playhouse in the Park in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1985, as part of their Theater Festival, where they invited local theater companies to present their work. We were the big sensation of the festival and they invited us back the following year. This was our first real big break. The show was a big hit. The video was from a camera mounted in the corner by the light booth, so that's why there's only on shot and sometimes the heads are cut off.
