pcsx2 is pretty nice but you need a faster processor it was only written for a dual core processor. The psx actually had better detailed and colorful texture graphics only when up close everything got pixelated. the n64 textures were blurry even when looking at a distance from the wall. Originally nintendo wanted a 3dfx gpu but the deal went sour.

nes > master system > turbo grafx 16, snes == genesis, psx > sega saturn, ps2 > xbox > gamecube. ps3 == xbox 360. The nes had the games, master system more towards arcade type games but looked well done. The turbo was a damn failure due to hudson soft poor games. psx definitely better than saturn due to its huge library. ps2 wins in that generation. ps3 & 360 same although ps3 more exclusive games. The dreamcast failed because sega abandoned it. it's really between psx vs ps2.

when i got my first ps2 it was a rock when we moved from my moms to my dads it was being bumped around and even dropped it was a round for quite durable i then one day decided to stop working then we purchased a slim and it is immortal ive had it for years not sure how long but it has lasted for a while games on the other hand are a problem and i dont know why they decided to switch from a vary durable cartage to a flimsy disc good thing they have that feature on the DS systems and the ps vita

PS3 is only backwards compatible if you own the original 60 gb version which I do. It was the first PS3's sold around the world which was also a limited edition. Less then 24 hours to get my hands on PS Vita woohoo!!
