I think I came to page 275 or so after struggling page by page through a tiresome slow and boring story that didn't go anywhere. The theme didn't stick, didn't fascinate, didn't seem plausible or believable so for the first time in my life I gave up reading a fiction... Mr Gibson, I paid $10.75 including taxes at san fransisco airport ... I want my money back!

Have read every one of his books - now reading Zero History. He is pretty much just how I imagined him - just from how he writes. I am so grateful for his work - one of the authors of a whole sub-genre.

How can you say Virtual Light sucked? I think that was one of his best books. It was easier to read, it played out well and would make one hell of a movie. If any of the things he wrote sucked, all that comes to mind is Idoru which was kind of boring in my eyes. I am buying up everything he wrote. I'd like to see a new book of short stories by him. In the world of "cyberpunk" ... this guy is a king.

@Cliodule sorry for the late response, just found this thread..i think his speech has always had that kind of pattern, in the road trip video where he speaks at length in 'no maps for these territories', you hear back in 2000 the same mannerisms i would call them..

I love how the father of cyberpunk has to hunt and peck to type. He's the best though. Just made me laugh.
