i think you were rather succinct, spoke / taught with clarity and were very God centered. Wonderful video. You did justice to Buber, whom I studied theology back in the 1980s at my Jesuit college. Thanks Father Jeffrey

@sgneal13 Absurd? That depends. Apparently you didn't watch the video. He doesn't want to sum up all Buber's theory, but he did a wonderful speech using Buber's idea :-)

Franz Rosenzweig worked with Buber on the translation project.
Buber was a Zionist but beiieved Zionism should be fulfilled in a Bi National State. He was NOT against the State of Israel but surely was and would have been very critical of certain policies. He is not hated by Zionists, evey those who do not accept his Bi national position.

I like Bubur. I also think that the I-thou philosophy can work without beliefe in a literal, all knowing, all powerful, and all good diety, and the inherant logical inability to reconcile pointnless human suffereing with that belief. I think the best way to logicall I thou relationship with other human beions is through Buddhism.
