It's amazing that as women, we all have the power and ability to do this!!! Thank you for showing us how it's done:) I wonder if it is more common in 'civilized' Australia for home births to be unattended than America. I ask because I know of Sarah Buckley, who writes and lives the subject of gentle birth, and is from Australia. Did any of your family have aversions to having your birth unattended?

@SweetBabyBirth I think Australia and American are pretty much the same in the ratio of women having home births vs. hospital births, it might be becoming more popular though as hospitals are just become so invasive with their interventions and women dont want that. But most people just automatically have hospital births because thats all they know to do (its the done thing), unless they become more informed about their options then alot more ppl would chose homebirths i think.

@summerchic21 My family were pretty supportive, although they were a bit worried and anxious about the "unassisted" at first but they just trusted me and were glad to be involved.
