Reef Octopus 1000 Hang on the Back Protein skimmer BH1000 - Review

I highly recommend this skimmer and during the video I hope you see why. Tip: You must saw off the inlet pipe prior to installation because the guard will sit too low and small fish will be lost in the pump.

not a great skimmer! tiny collection cup and neck!sorry mate but this is far to small for your tank size

How do you raise the water level in an hob skimmer..I have an aquaeuro and can't seem to figure it out. This is my first skimmer btw.

Do you have to manual prime all the air out to start this skimmer? I have a BH100F and i have to suck the air out in order to prime it.

I've got the pump running like yours, only it is noisy....not so much louder now...but still I notice some buzz from the pump....in your video, pump is not making any sound at all it seems like...

is it silent??

@4balls4life did you fill it with water before turning it on? also sometimes when starting it you have to plug/unplug it a few times for it to start correctly

I just got this skimmer, the pump seems to be making a noise...why is that? impeller not stable possibly....any ideas?
