Uniondale Pay Attention

Dorothy Goosby addresses a uniondale resident who is concerned with the rumors that the powers in nassau county are continuing to try to undercut the uniondale school district commercial tax base. They have been tryng to do this for at least 10 years, but now it is coming down to the wire. They want to carve out the major commercial district in vacinity of mitchell field and roosevelt field that is now in the uniondale district, and either annex it to garden city or create another separate area so all the tax dollars will go either to garden city or just directly to nassau county robbing uniondale of an enormous amount of tax dollars. This is part of the master plan of nassau county (of which the master plan for hempstead is also connected) to undercut the black majority communities and force thousands of black residents out of the county. This is what is currently being attempted in hempstead and we see now that their effort include other black majority areas as well.
